Hello, my loyal blog readers. I know it’s been a couple weeks since I’ve posted, so I’d like to start off by apologizing for the delay. I feel like a lot has happened in those two weeks. I have another blog post that should be ready to share soon, but in the meantime, I wanted to update you on my decision.
Last time I posted I was in a pivotal place. Do I take the programming bootcamp at UC Berkeley so I can take that skill set on the road, or do I save the money and throw caution to the wind?
To be honest, throwing caution to the wind has never been a strength of mine. One of the reasons I love traveling so much is the spontaneity and freedom that comes along with it. It’s a little harder to access that foot-loose and fancy-free side when working that 9 to 5 job. Feeling that sense of abandon is definitely incentive to hit the road sooner rather than later!
That said, I have other factors that need to be considered, like, how will I pay for the tandem hand gliding experience over the Grand Canyon?
Naw, only kidding, you know I’m not strapping myself to some dingbat who thinks they can control the wind. I may be periodically anxious, but I’m not crazy!
All that aside, I made my decision.
While I want to see the world from the perspective of the little window in a teardrop trailer, that little window will be there in 6 months. Therefore, I’m going to take the class. I will be very busy every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning from now until June, which feels like a VERY LONG TIME! I really treasure my Saturday mornings in particular, but giving up luxury sleep is a sacrifice I’m willing to make to help facilitate stress free financial freedom!
That’s all for now, but keep an eye out for my next post! It’s going to be filled with trials, tribulations and adventure!
I’m so proud of you, it is a big decision and one I am sure you will be very happy you made.
Welcome bank to the academic force!
Well, the time will pass quickly, I think.
Sure must feel good climbing off that fence. Hopefully you won’t have to worry about the future when you’re seeing the sights and challenging yourself. Thanks for sharing
